With influences likes Robert Frank, Roy DeCarava, as well as his brother, Michael, J Lardizabal has spent the last twelve years in search of his style as a photographer. From developing his technical acumen to fine tuning his choice of subject matter, J still views his images as a work in progress. His love for black and white photography allows him to place more importance on space and negative space, and what is in the light and what is not. He credits his decisiveness and low volume shooting as key ingredients to any discernible style.
